Real nice Blazer you have here and I enjoyed reading all the updates and ride reports that you posted, I was wondering if you were going to stay with the original paint scheme or are you going to be repainting in different colors?
It looks like you have a lot too do but I really like the K10 Body style and you can’t beat those long rear side windows.
Great choice and good luck with the build.
I will be changing it back to the original color, Catalina Blue. I am still deciding on how to do it exactly. I think I will end up with the blue in place of the red, keeping the two tone with white in the middle. I am still not sure what color I want the top to be. I may keep the black pin stripe separating the two tone in which case a black top would look pretty decent. But then again, I may go with a silver pin stripe and paint the top white. I am a long ways from that stage of this game though. I will have some renderings made to illustrate those schemes before I make my choice.
I used to be a bodyman and you have a lot of work cut out for you. I am just thinking of the new floor boards, rockers, roll pan gate and assorted other items that have to fall prey to the sawzall real soon.
Good luck.
Really, this truck is VERY clean for it’s age. Aside from the rear quarter skins, the inner/outer rockers, outer floor-boards, and the front cab mount support, there isn’t really any other sheetmetal work to do. Most all of the repair panels are readily available and what isn’t is easily fab’d up.
The floor under the truck & all of the cross-braces, including the rear cross-brace that is the structure for the rear quarters are all in excellent shape, zero rust!
What I have to be careful of is letting some of these things go too long before taking care of them. As I’ve said a number of times, I have been enjoying driving this truck and haven’t had the time or space to really tear into it.

BTW yes I know this is an old thread.
