Chevelle
It all started with the Chevelle. I purchased my 1970 Chevelle Malibu sport coupe in 1994 just prior to my 15th birthday. After some required floor modifications and an engine rebuild and the one year wait until I was 16, I was finally able to legally drive it. I drove it for a year or so when I was in high school and a bit during my first year of college, but then parked it under my father’s barn for safe keeping. It stayed there for 10 years until I decided that it was time for it to be restored.
On June 30th, 2008, I pulled it out of the barn and into my father’s shop. Over the last year, I have worked at dismantling the body. I currently have the doors and fenders in my garage where I am replacing rusted sections with fresh metal.
I will be using this blog as a means of documenting the work completed from this point forward. I also am keeping a photo document trail during the restoration process in my photobucket account.
